Análise da relação entre a circulação e o tempo de posse de bola da seleção espanhola na Copa do Mundo Fifa® 2010

Abstract

O objetivo deste artigo foi analisar a relação entre a circulação da bola, através da velocidade de transmissão da bola (VTB), e a Duração das Sequências Ofensivas da seleção espanhola de futebol na Copa do Mundo FIFA® 2010. A amostra do estudo foi composta por 608 sequências ofensivas realizadas nos sete jogos disputados. Para análise da transmissão da bola, utilizou-se do índice da VTB. Empregouse a análise descritiva e, para análise da relação entre as variáveis, foi utilizado o teste de correlação de Spearman. Os resultados apresentaram correlação negativa entre a VTB e a Duração das Sequências Ofensivas. Conclui-se que a diminuição da VTB resultou no aumento na duração das ações de posse de bola da seleção espanhola durante a Copa do Mundo FIFA® 2010.This paper aimed to examine the relation between ball circulation, through the rhythm of ball transmission (RBT), and the Length of Offensive Sequences of the Spanish National Soccer Team in the 2010 FIFA® World Cup. The sample comprised 608 offensive sequences in the seven games played. For analysis of rhythm of ball t ransmission, the RBT index was used. It was emplyed the descriptive analysis and, the analysis of the relation between the variables was performed through the Spearman’s Correlation test. Results presented negative correlation between RBT and the Length of Offensive Sequences, what displays inversely proportional values between the variables. It is concluded that the decrease of RTB occasioned raise in the length of actions of ball possession from the Spanish National Team during the 2010 FIFA® World Cup..This
