The use of alternative energies to the oil has been of great world-wide importance, as much that has been prominence in the studies for the development of new forms of energy generation, as well as in the development of technologies for the use of more efficient form of the alternative energies. In Brazil, the form of more attractive alternative energy has been the biomass, being distinguished the residues of the agribusiness, the alcohol of the sugar cane-of-sugar and more recently the residual vegetal oils and in natura. The oil is the main available power plant for the feeding of engines of internal combustion, making possible its transformation in energy mechanics. The dependence of the oil leads to the necessity of alternatives by means of the raw material culture renewed. Problems current are costs of fuels biological, big that of derivatives of oil and that many adequate engines of combustion to the vegetal oil use do not exist what must have greater inquiry for the production techniques and refining of the biofuel and, still, adequacy of engines to the vegetal oil use so that these can be a viable alternative. The idea to use to advantage vegetal oils to set in motion vehicles is not recent, therefore Rudolf Diesel, in 1897, already it had considered the use of the oil of peanut as combustible in engines. In order to take care of to the vegetable oil production, many cultures can be used, as peanut, soy, maize, dendê, sunflower and canola, beyond the cultures of regional character as mamona, andiroba, pequi, buriti, inajá, carnaúba, nut-bellwether, among others. An alternative, beyond the extracted oil of grains, is the residual oil use of domestic use, restaurants and industries. The oil after used becomes unwanted residue and its recycling as biofuel alternative it would remove of the environment a pollutant and would allow the generation of an alternative source of energy. The direct vegetal oil job in engines of internal combustion, although tried since the advent of the engine diesel, still he is subject to many quarrels and controversies. The first allusions regarding its efficiency as combustible come of the beginning of the century since the Universal Exposition of Paris. Therefore, this work had general objective to evaluate the performance of an agricultural tractor of tires being used oil mixtures diesel with oil of reusable soy. First, a study of density of the mixtures and the behavior of the temperature of the oil was carried through diesel in the system of fuel feeding in the engine, and analyses of viscosities of the mixtures in study. After the analyses, were verified by means of dynamometric assays, the performance of the engine fed with mixtures of OD with OSR in different ratios. Finally, the performance of the ratios of mixtures of OD and OSR was verified by means of assays in the tractive bar. The main conclusions of this work had been: the density and viscosity of the mixtures suffer variations with the increase from the amount of oil of reusable soy (OSR) and with the variation of the temperature. For the evaluations in the power taking, the mixture of 25% OD with 75% OSR presented the biggest power enters excessively the mixture, for consumption I specify and the torques had demonstrated to trend the biggest values with the addition of the percentage of OSR to the mixtures. For the evaluations in the tractive bar, the best ones resulted observed in the income of the tractor had been verified with the increase of the mixture percentages (25% OSR for load N, 25%, 75% and 100% OSR for the fourth march as load and 75% and 100% OSR for third, second and first march as load).
